Creating a Social Media Nexus

Long-time client and MSG Network sports broadcaster Tina Cervasio needed a new look and feel for her site. The original site, while rich with audio and video content, lacked social media integration with sites such as Twitter and Youtube. As Tina can Twitter circles around most celebrities and records audio/video on a daily basis, this just wouldn't do.

Our redesign focused on placing all of Tina's syndicated resources directly on her homepage. The homepage boasts RSS feeds from Tina's MSG blogs, Tina's articles from Scribd, the latest videos from Tina's YouTube channel, her latest tweets from Twitter, as well as select images from the site's photo gallery.

The modular design gives unique focus to each of these content areas, utilizing asymmetry and color to lead the eye around the page. Tina's fans now enjoy one-stop access into the goings-on of their favorite Sports Broadcaster along with the new content and features offered within the site.

A Redesign, A Renaissance

Upscale NY salon & spa Salon Da Noi wanted to redesign their site to more closely resemble the theme and decor of their interior design. We gathered on-site photographic resources in order to accurately recreate the salon's rich plaster textures and color palette onscreen. We then worked closely with the client to develop a design which utilizes the same elegant mix of mediterranean, renaissance, and modern influences that have been on display within the salon for years. The resulting design provided a brand consistency the previous design lacked. In addition new features and navigation options have allowed for increased customer/salon interaction. The final product? A web site that has left both the client and their clientele satisfied with the site's increased functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Reading is Fundamental

What self-respecting, bibliophile-filled, web development company could pass up the chance to redesign a public library site? The North Bergen Free Public Library is a wonderful resource with much to offer the community it serves. The library's old site, however, wasn't getting that message across.

AlphaDog's overhaul of the site's design featured adding a robust content management system and much improved library catalog search capabilities in addition to creating a book-themed design in keeping with the library's airy interiors and blue-hued color pallete.

'Tis The [Field Hockey] Season

Not wanting to dissapoint an entire team of athletes who carry large clubs literally made for striking things, we went into this redesign with our gameface on.

New Heights needed a simple brochure-style site that could be easily updated, would match the team colors, and allow team members to easily view important schedule updates and events. We delivered on all of these needs and, along the way, added code and semantic restructuring to better the site's SEO appeal and correct the cross-browser issues plaguing the site's previous incarnation.

Sure you have a book, but do you have a website?

When Ron Martino’s new book, The Self Image Solution, was coming to print, a website had to be created and ready to process any orders by the time the book hit the shelves. Working at breakneck pace under a tight deadline, ADS designed the website, added features and back-end structures for future enhancements (such as online courses), created an eye-catching logo, incorporated blogging and social media, and provided a simple method for online ordering.

Uncomplicate the complicated needs of your client

Corporate Training Group, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, offers IT professionals, office workers at corporations, government agencies, and no-profit organizations, training in a variety of Microsoft software and coding platforms.

Known for their high caliber custom training CTG wanted their website to reflect that same tone. This website not only had to meet the high standards expected of a Microsoft Partner, but also required database development for an extensive web-based student registration system. Large amounts of programming was required to create various types of system-generated notifications, registrations, confirmations, step-by-step wizards/walkthroughs and more.

With the high volume of courses available, each with varied schedules, CTG required an administrative control panel so that courses could be easily added, scheduled, cancelled and so forth. Reporting requirements were also quite wide-ranging.

Ultimately we delivered a combination web application and web site that has become the backbone of CTG's business and a vital resource to both their prospective and enrolled students.

Streamlining an intensive process that caused taxpayers frustration every year

Based upon experience, the parents in Secaucus knew that, on the Recreation Department’s registration day, they had to be prepared for a long wait, sometimes for more than 4 hours. The Rec Department's manual, labor-intensive process not only caused parents stress, but the staff of the township as well.

Working with Rec Department administration to analyze all of their data, existing forms, required reports, and workflows we endeavoured to make the entire process digital. We designed and created a secure, web-based, custom registration system. Redundancy was eliminated by creating "Family Profiles" and utilizing databases to house and display listings of enrolled participant groups. The parents or guardians managing each account were then able to easily and quickly log-in and register their children for the various avalable recreation programs.

Transaction processing was added to allow parents to pay for their registrations via credit card. Also Rec Department administrators now receive digital reports for all facets of their site's client interactions such as attendance lists, bus lists, and more. The website also offers a method to pay for recurring payments automatically without the necessity to process it online each month.

Even a utility authority can have some style

The North Bergen Municipal Utility Authority wanted to serve its customers by having an appealing website that would inform residents about important information in addition to providing them with a method to pay their utility bills. NBMUA now accepts credit card payments on line for their customers. In addition, this website uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by displaying a map of their recycling schedules.

Local Government Best Practices in Action

The state has set down the rules for all NJ municipal websites. In the mad dash to adopt these new "Best Practices" one thing has become clear: a lot of municipalities have a lot of catching up to do... unless they're with AlphaDog Solutions.

Our CyberClerk sites have been compliant with the new guidelines since well before they became guidelines. CyberClerk offers a suite of site tools and features that make available budgets, bids, RFPs, contact information, minutes, agendas, ordinances and more. Each CyberClerk site is developed on our own in-house content management platform, providing clients with an easy method of keeping their sites up to date.

Event photographs and videos we've shot on assignment for our clients are integrated into galleries, bulletins and front page news updates. This media is presented with stylish interfaces such Flash audio/video players and AJAX-powered galleries.

Having a CyberClerk site allows municipal governments to offer the level of transparency now demanded of them by the state and then some. Integrated social media portals such as custom Facebook and Twitter also allow citizens more ways to stay in the know and keep their municipalities abreast of local concerns. Also did we mention that CyberClerk is 100% local government best practices compliant?

As Grows Your Company, So Grows Your Website

With yearly sales in excess of $30 million and with more than 100 employees, Integrated Construction Enterprises had reached a level of success that warranted an upgrade to their existing web presence. The client desired a more up-to-date, appealing site which would attract visitors to, "click and find out more."

Our response was to leverage modern web standards, accessibility concepts, and refined graphic design elements to direct users towards the wealth of information ICE provides about their business and services.

A custom content management system now allows company representatives to self-manage key areas of their site. This keeps the content fresh and makes updates a breeze.

We also increased the site's search engine appeal by:

•Ensuring keyword-dense page copy
•Adding result-focused meta-tags
•Labeling all site media
•Interlinking between interior pages
•Search engine reindexing
